By using xchng you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully — they cover your rights, your responsibilities, and how we handle disputes.
By accessing or using the xchng application ("xchng," "the Service") you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. xchng reserves the right to update these terms at any time; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be surfaced inside the app and require explicit acknowledgment before you can continue.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to enter into binding agreements in your jurisdiction to use xchng. By creating a wallet you represent that you meet these requirements. xchng is currently intended for users in the United States.
xchng is a peer-to-peer payments application. It allows users to fund a virtual wallet via ACH bank debit, send value to other users by wallet address or @handle, withdraw funds to a linked bank account, and register autonomous spending agents. xchng is not a bank, a money services business, or a regulated financial institution. Deposits, withdrawals, and transfers are processed through Stripe, Inc., a licensed payment processor.
You use xchng at your own discretion and risk. xchng makes no guarantee of uptime, transaction speed, fund availability, or the solvency or behavior of other users. You are solely responsible for:
Standard ACH deposits and P2P transfers within xchng are currently free. Instant withdrawals carry a fee equal to 1% of the withdrawal amount (minimum $0.50) plus a $0.10 platform fee. Fees are displayed before confirmation. xchng reserves the right to introduce or adjust fees with notice provided inside the app.
Instant withdrawal eligibility and daily limits are subject to a progressive tier system based on account history and activity. All accounts begin at Tier 1 ($100/day). Limits may be adjusted by xchng at its discretion. Tier-level changes will be communicated in the app.
xchng will use its best judgement to investigate and resolve disputes. Where a dispute involves a payment processed by Stripe, xchng will cooperate with Stripe's dispute resolution process and may be limited in its ability to reverse or recover funds. xchng is not liable for:
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, xchng's total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to xchng in the 12 months preceding the claim.
xchng allows you to register autonomous spending agents that can initiate transactions on your behalf within policy limits you define. You are fully responsible for all transactions authorized by your agents. xchng enforces the policy limits you set but is not responsible for agent behavior within those limits. Agent API keys are not recoverable by xchng — if lost, the agent must be deleted and re-registered.
You agree not to use xchng to:
xchng reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, are suspected of fraudulent activity, or that pose a risk to the platform or other users.
You may delete your account at any time from within the app. Upon deletion, local wallet data is removed immediately. Server-side ledger records may be retained for legal and reconciliation purposes in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Any remaining balance at the time of account deletion should be withdrawn prior to deletion — xchng is not obligated to process withdrawals after account deletion is requested.
Financial services including bank account linking, ACH payments, Connect payouts, and instant payouts are provided by Stripe, Inc. By using these features you also agree to Stripe's Services Agreement and Stripe Connected Account Agreement.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. xchng does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of xchng shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
xchng may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. When material changes are made, a summary of what changed will be displayed inside the app and you will be required to acknowledge the update before continuing. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
